Aristotle believed earth, water, air, and fire were the four physical elements and the earth was located at the center of the universe
There were seven planets including earth, the moon, and the sun
Starts were fixed and did not move
The objects in space were a fifth element and followed a circular motion around earth, which was the center of all the perfect orbits
But people realized earth was not at the center of the perfect orbits of the planets and sometimes the planets seemed to even move backwards
a geocentric model followed
some did not agree with the model
